I had the opportunity to head to the fashion show "MECHANICS" of Martin Lamothe.

Elena Lamothe is a spanish designer, she is graduated from Fashion in the prestigious Master of Central Saint Martins College of London. 5 years ago, Martin Lamothe launches her Image and Art team who leads the brand growth and strengthen her bonds to the art.

How was the collection " MECHANICS" ?:

Martin Lamothe used contrasting materials, like leather, metallic gauze (newly-created materials), Wool & Nylon. The mix of these materials give to the collection an amazing sculptural effects and contrast with the warmth of white and pastelcoloured wool. The lines of the clothes are giving an industrial movement. Leather & Print were prominent. There are plenty of prints in this collection, featuring various abstract & geometric designs. 

The colors were : bright white, absolute petroleum black and industrial oil green, green and yellow.

What did I like? 

• The prints
• The details with the leather bands (you can see in my pictures below)
• The tone-of-tone
• The Oversize

I had the pleasure to talk to her after the Show. It was such a great time. She gave me the access to the backstage, very interesting to see and touch the clothes. The first things she said to me about her collection was : LEATHER and yes, ...she used the leather as a Queen! My friend Stéphane immortalized this moment with this nice picture from Elena Lamothe and I (you can see my HUGE smile on it)!
