I'm back for few weeks now and I can tell you that it was the most amazing experience I've never had!
The athmosphere around the Lincoln center was very special and unreal, so many people, so many photographers... I was kind of impressed!
For this first day I was wearing a dress from Kai Aakmann that I found in New York at Babel Fair. A pair of heels from gucci and a jewel from Baies d'Erelle. By the way this first day at the New York Fashion Week was very intense for me. I went in the morning to a Blow Dry Bar (DryBar) in Downtown. It's so perfect you can go with or without an appointment and just get a blow dry in 40 min for 40$. A good ♡address for you if you are going to New York.
I went to 3 Fashion shows inside the Lincoln center. The shows were all incredible. My favorite was for sure the Mara Hoffmann one. I will post during the week about it!
These pics are very unusual! Wearing a 20's look in the middle of the Queens and looking inside the garbage or inspecting the laundry. I would be perfect to assist to Gatsby's Party no?
The dress that I'm wearing is just wonderful! A real amazing vintage pieces and the material was very light. The clutch is a vintage piece from Dior.
This shoot was so funny we were so inspiring and laughing so much! I have to tell you that this garbage smelt very very bad! I really love the gap between the situation and the look. I had so much fun to make this shoot with @MRDOPEPIC. It was so very spontaneous and I would love to thank him and the owner of the boutique Loveday31.
Last month I received an e-mail from Edelweiss Magazine. They were asking me if I wanted to collaborate with other swiss bloggers to be featured on Style-Lab. The point was to wear jewelry and clothing from Swiss designers and style them to our taste. I thought the idea was great and I decided to take part in it.
The challenge? We couldn't see the clothes before the day of the shoot.
I chose 2 outfits from 2 different designers.
The first item I chose was from Klamott. It was the first one to catch my eye so I went with it. I love the print, the material (Terry Cotton) and the cut (high waist & crop top). Then added a piece of jewelry from Baies d'Erelle. I love Baies d'Erelle's style and the work she has done. Baies d'Erelle's and Klamott's were complimenting each other perfectly which made it an amazing outfit.
For the second one I chose a coat from Ida Gut. I love the elegance and the darkness of it. The multi-belts narrow the waist which allows you to show you thin line. The style is very urban and Chic. The material was so smooth and the so was the leather band which gave it a perfect finish to the outfit.
It was a very interesting and fun experience. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to work with Edelweiss Magazine including all the Swiss designers that trusted to put together such amazing outfits. We shoot this look in collaboration with Loveday31. It was so hard for me to choose an outfit because everything was so nice, it was possible to create hundreds totally different looks! But with the help from the owner and my friend Jessy we chose very fast this sequin jacket. We mixed it with a very nice short jumpsuit.
During the shoot I met the cutest girl from the world. I asked her her name, she told me with her little voice " BELLA ". I said directly to her mother that she chose the perfect name for her daughter. For the memories I added a picture from Bella and I in this post ♡
The inspiration : the easy glamour of the French Riviera in the late 1960s, Romy Schnieder’s character in the 1969 French film “La Piscine,” and strong botanical elements. You should already know that I am in love with Tory Burch. I checked the video of the new collection Spring 2014. It's exactly the kind of clothes that I love. Natural prints, straight cut & special crush on the bag belt ! We saw this trend few years ago! By the way I will adopt this trend for sure because it is so modern and easy to wear! As usually the collection is very sophisticated, with a lot of cotton and embroidery and the amazing cut-out leather! The dominant colors are so "Nature", white, light green, light blue and beige.
Fashion Week started last thursday in New York (5th September). It was for me my first NYFW. I will tell you my impression about the fashion Week in an other post. The annual Supima Design Competition was created to give runway exposure to emerging talent and was modeled on the legendary 1954 Wool Secretariat competition that launched the careers of the then-teenaged Yves St. Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld. It is always very interesting to see new talents, new designers. We don't have to forget that they are the future of Fashion. We can feel how hard they worked on their collection and how inspiring they were. They were already selected on thousands people so they are already the ELITE of NEW YORK young designer. The winner was announced by Rachel Zoé, Morgan Selin received $10'000 and it is for sure an amazing opportunity for her to start her career. Every Designers presented few models, each person presented something very different and with different inspiration check the video below to discover what the young designers created!
